The Client Sun Hung Kei had commissioned our team to revamp the existing ground floor retail areas at the entrance lobby and lift lobby on the ground floor of the IFC hotel. It aims to invite some luxury brands to move in, preferably jewelry and watches. The design concept was inspired by the twin towers of Shanghai IFC which they were interpreted as a pair of “open arms” to embrace the city’s skyline; in response to that, an iconic “bracelet” is inserted at the bottom of the tower’s facade as a compliment to this poetic gesture.
